Avalon Centers

Avalon Centers began in 1998 and was the first freestanding partial hospitalization program in New York State. Our facility offers a supportive, home like setting where patients work closely with Avalon clinicians, nutritionists, nurses, and psychiatrists to meet their unique emotional, nutritional, medical, and psychological needs.

Programming for partial hospitalization is five days a week, seven and a half hours a day.

Partial hospitalization offers an opportunity for patients to participate in a structured program during the day while allowing time each evening and on weekends for patients to practice what they are learning in their own environment. Patients from out-of-town may stay at Avalon's apartment style group home that offers a comfortable, safe, and welcoming atmosphere.

Avalon Centers expanded its services in 2006 and opened an outpatient treatment center. Avalon Outpatient Counseling and Nutritional Services are located in our administrative offices in Clarence, NY. The program offers individual counseling sessions, individual nutritional consultation, and a variety of groups that utilize a holistic approach to treatment.

Our programs are tailored to meet the individual eating disordered behavior and accompanying needs of each patient. The staff at Avalon Centers is dedicated to helping patients gain freedom from their eating disorder and begin a meaningful new life. With help there is hope. It is our hope that you will take the next step and reach out for the help you need to start on the pathway of recovery.
